Beggar and Co, Hi-Tension and Light of the World, all in one go!
This 10-piece collective of musicians includes the founder members and pioneers of Brit Funk from Beggar and Co, Hi-Tension and ex-members of Light of the World and Incognito.
They will perform Top 40 Official Chart hits from each of the band’s back catalogue such as ‘Time’, ‘Somebody (Help Me Out)’, ‘Nature Boy’, ‘Hi-Tension’ and ‘British Hustle’, as well as the classic album and 12′ inch singles that have stood the test of time, including ‘London Town’, ‘Pete’s Crusade’, ‘There’s a Reason’, ‘I’m So Happy’, ‘Walkin’ Into Sunshine’, ‘Everyday’ and the brilliant ‘Bahia’.
When the occasion demands they enjoy playing a stirring rendition of ‘Chant No. 1’, the brilliant Spandau Ballet Number 2 recording on which Beggar and Co were the featured horn section. In addition, the band have recorded two new albums, ‘Full Circle’ and ‘Lifted’, both of which were Number 1 in R&B on mainstream sites and Number 1 albums in the UK Soul Chart.
